The young promising composer Yuri Umemoto was appointed the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall Composer, a newly founded post, for the period 2025-2027.

For the year 2025, a concert will be held on September 11 featuring Umemoto’s works including the one commissioned by the Hall.
Umemoto had already collaborated with the Hall, producing a concert in November 2024 featuring works by the late composer Yuya Honda.
