World-renowned piano star Yuja Wang, who received thunderous applause during her recital tour in Japan this past June, will return to the country in November.

This time, she will give two concerts in Tokyo and Yokohama conducting the Mahler Chamber Orchestra from the keyboard. The strong musical bond between her and the ensemble has deepened further, particularly since she assumed the role of their Artistic Partner in 2024.

Yuja Wang is celebrated for her charismatic artistry, emotional honesty and captivating stage presence. Her recent projects include a collaborative project with David Hockney at London’s Lightroom, play-direct tours with the Mahler Chamber to Europe and South America, an international duo recital tour with pianist Vikingur Olafsson and a residency with the New York Philharmonic.
The 2025/26 season saw her open the seasons of many major US Orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony, The Philadelphia Orchestra and at Carnegie Hall where she conducted Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 from the keyboard to critical acclaim.
