Baritone Daisuke Ohyama to Debut at Scottish Opera! Baritone Daisuke Ohyama to Debut at Scottish Opera!

Japanese singer Daisuke Ohyama will soon debut at the Scottish Opera in Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland, this month.
Also active as an actor, the forty-four-year-old baritone will sing the leading role Katsushika Hokusai for the world-premiere production of the new opera The Great Wave by Japanese composer Dai Fujikura and Scottish librettist Harry Ross.
Directed by internationally renowned Satoshi Miyagi, the world premiere will be co-produced by KAJIMOTO and the Scottish Opera, with the support of Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs / Japan Arts Council / Grants for Artistic Activity Infrastructure Reinforcement Program (Projects to Nurture Creators and Artists) aiming to actively engage young Japanese artists and creators and support their international development.
