KAJIMOTO is pleased to announce that the talented young Japanese cellist Michiaki Ueno received the prestigious Beethoven Ring Award 2024.
The award winner was chosen by vote by the 1700 members of the “BÜRGER FÜR BEETHOVEN (Citizens for Beethoven)” that organizes the Beethovenfest Bonn, Germany.
The winner of the 75th Geneva International Music Competition in 2021, Michiaki played Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 3 in A major op. 69 at the Beethovenfest Bonn this year with enormous success. Michiaki was then elected the 20th recipient of the Beethoven Ring Award by an overwhelming majority. The list of the past recipients includes Gustavo Dudamel, Lisa Batiashvili and Julia Fischer.
