Kenichiro Yasuda began his early studies in Japan with Hideo Saito in 1955, and went on to study in Europe under the tutelage of great masters such as Gaspar Cassado and Pierre Fournier.
After winning the Third Tchaikovsky Competition in 1966, he began a successful solo career throughout Europe, Japan, the United States and Canada.
Mr. Yasuda has performed with ensembles around the world, including the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and been invited to many festivals around Europe including the Casals Festival at Prades, the Menuhin Festival at Gstaad and at the St. Moritz and Zurich Festivals.
After spending several years abroad, he returned to Japan to expand his recital, chamber music and solo activities in his home country.
In 1986, Kenichiro Yasuda formed the Yasuda String Quartet, an ensemble that has become known for its fine musical interpretation and dedication to the works of Haydn and Beethoven.
